Bijou Of Lytham
About This Spot
Stepping into Bijou of Lytham feels like finding a quiet haven on a busy day, a spot where time slows down just enough to savor meaningful little moments. Tucked away on Clifton Street in Lytham Saint Annes, this café invites you with its gentle charm—a blend of traditional touches and warm hospitality that makes both locals and visitors feel comfortably at home.
The pace here is unhurried, with the soft murmur of friendly conversation mingling with the occasional happy bark from four-legged guests who are clearly just as welcome as the people who bring them along. The atmosphere holds a relaxed familiarity; you can settle inside with a book or watch the world go by from one of the shaded outdoor tables. It’s a place where the timeless appeal of a classic breakfast or a carefully crafted cup of coffee takes center stage without ever feeling rushed.
Food at Bijou of Lytham is less about formality and more about genuine care—freshly prepared and thoughtfully suited to different tastes and needs, including vegetarian and gluten-free options that don’t compromise on flavor. There’s a quiet joy in sharing a slice of lemon cake or a gluten-free scone smeared with jam and clotted cream, especially when paired with a rich hot chocolate or a vibrant milkshake. Even the simpler offerings, like a breakfast barm or a warming bowl of homemade soup, reveal the kitchen’s mindful approach to everyday comfort.
The genuine warmth from the staff, combined with a sense of community spirit, gently unfolds as part of the experience. Whether your companion has paws or simply prefers a sunny spot inside, you’re met with welcome that feels personal rather than programmed. This is a place where dogs are greeted almost like old friends, and small celebrations—like a special doggy afternoon tea—add an unexpected touch of delight.
Bijou of Lytham is not just a café; it’s a cherished corner of Saint Anne’s where thoughtful simplicity and a slow pace invite you to pause, linger, and connect—over good food, friendly smiles, and the shared moments that make a visit quietly memorable.

Excellent service, really tasty freshly-prepared food and the height of dog-friendliness. We'll definitely be back.

First time visit with friend for coffee and cake. I had a lovely gluten free scone, jam and clotted cream and my friend enjoyed a light and lovely lemon cake. The staff were lovely and friendly and when we left we felt we had enjoyed our visit and will definitely return. Lovely decor and atmosphere.

Pretty little cafe in the quieter part of Lytham main street. Seating inside and out which is traditional rather than modern. Delicious coffee and carrot cake. Canopy over the outside area plus a little hedge screening which was keeping the sun off when we called mid morning although I suspect it is a sun trap for most of the day. Cooler inside in summer. Helpful friendly staff and clean toilet. Prices for sandwiches and light snacks reasonable too. Definitely worth a try.

I stumbled across this little cafe, while I was charging my car to get back to Glasgow, the staff were super the coffee and cake I had hit the spot, but the most wonderful thing for me was all the little doggy visitors, amazing they did a gorgeous little afternoon tea for dogs for under a tenner, served up on a 3 tier cake stand, I couldn't believe my eyes it was amazing, sadly I didn't have my own dogs with me at the time, it was just so lovely can't wait to go back. Before I left I bought afternoon tea for there next doggie visitor hope they enjoyed, so get yourself down there. Lots of love from Sonny and Cher Glasgow

We visited with our two dogs on a cold wet weekend morning. The ladies were welcoming the cafe was warm and breakfast was lovely. They made the dogs feel welcome and gave them a sausage too. Will definitely go back. A little gem of a cafe.

I use cafes regularly, however, stumbled on this lovely, warm welcoming and most friendly staff. And, the best hot chocolate. You just know when all of this is genuine and it was. Thank you xxx
